The pancreas is a tiny organ located at the bottom of the stomach. It is much wider at one end than the other and has the appearance of a fish. An adult’s pancreas is around six inches long and only a couple of inches wide. Most pancreatic tumors develop when the organ’s exocrine cells proliferate uncontrollably.
