Danica Patrick
The most successful woman in the history of American open-wheel racing was Danica Patrick. The racecar driver was dominant in her sport before retiring. The only IndyCar Series win by a woman was her 2008 win in the Indy Japan 300. Through her talent and looks, Patrick, a widely recognized athlete, has become an icon of pop culture. Not only did she do film and tv work, but she was also a cover model for magazines such as FHM, Sports Illustrated, TV Guide, and ESPN: The Magazine.
Kerri Walsh
Another powerhouse is Kerri Walsh, a professional beach volleyball player. Kerri has impressed fans throughout her career by becoming a three-time Olympic gold medalist and a one-time Olympic bronze medalist. No wonder Kerri has also gone on to do television and modeling work, appearing in the ESPN: The “Body Issue” magazine, with pictures taken both before and after her third child was born, given the fact that she’s so beautiful.
