Lucky, but not out of the woods
The men, with massive, imposing figures, continued to make repeated trips up and down, bringing dozens of huge packages to the surface. The process seemed never-ending, and lasted about 30 minutes. Brendan and John, by sheer luck, remained invisible, but their relief was short-lived. Although they managed to avoid detection, the feeling of danger was palpable. The situation was still uncertain, and with each step the men took, the growing awareness that their mission was anything but safe hovered over them like an ominous shadow.

Lucky, But Not Out of Trouble
Silent observation
As the men finished unloading the mysterious packages, a stony silence descended on the submarine. Neither Brendan nor John dared utter a word; the atmosphere was charged with tension. But in that silence, they both noticed a crucial detail: the top of the ship had been left open, leaving an escape route. The two men’s hearts pounded, aware that this was their only and perhaps last chance to escape. Time for reflection was running out, and every moment became crucial.
