When the boss opened the foil covering one of the packages and pulled out a large stack of money, Brendan and John exchanged a look that spoke more than a thousand words. The scene was clear: they were in the midst of a criminal operation far beyond their management capabilities. Normally, they would have notified the police immediately, but now-the situation was too dangerous, too complicated. They no longer knew who might be on their side and who, on the other hand, was involved in that dark ring.
