Inside the boat
The interior of the boat was even more eerie than they had imagined, with bare, worn metal walls except for a center console that seemed to belong to a bygone era, a sign of better days. “There’s no one here, so who piloted this boat?” asked John, visibly confused. Brendan shrugged, trying to communicate his discovery to the crew outside, but just as he was about to do so … something suddenly changed in the air, causing the flashlight in his hands to flicker.

The connection via Brendan’s walkie-talkie was unstable, the words distorted and hard to decipher. But then, everything worsened in an instant. An eerie creaking sound came from above, and before the two men could react, the top hatch violently closed on its own, imprisoning them inside. The captain and the rest of the crew outside immediately noticed what had happened, and panic erupted among them. The situation had descended into a nightmare with no way out.
