Ken Spears

Ken Spears, co-creator of the Scooby-Doo franchise for Hanna-Barbera, died on November 6 at the age of 82 from Lewy body dementia. He co-created Dynomutt, Dog Wonder, Captain Caveman, and Jabberjaw with his business partner Joe Ruby, who died in August. Additionally, the duo created Alvin and the Chipmunks, a Saturday morning animated series.

Eddie Hassell

Eddie Hassell, an actor best known for his roles in The Kids Are All Right and Surface, was murdered outside his girlfriend’s apartment at the age of 30. Hassell has appeared in the television series Devious Maids, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Bones, and Longmire. He appeared in a small role in Ashton Kutcher’s 2013 film Jobs.
