Carol Arthur
Carol Arata, better known by her stage name Carol Arthur, was an American actress best known for her supporting roles in Mel Brooks films. Additionally, she is the star of Blazing Saddles and Dom DeLuise’s wife. She died on November 11, 2020, after an 11-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 85 years old at the time.

She starred in 49 feature films and was regarded as one of the leading actresses of her generation. Until her death in July 2020, she was the oldest living and earliest surviving Academy Award winner. Joan Fontaine, her younger sister, was an actress.
