Joe Clark
Joe Louis Clark was the former principal of Paterson Eastside High School. Due to his amazing efforts that he made to improve many school standards all across the USA, Clark was nationally recognized. As a matter of fact, Clark was actually the real inspiration behind Morgan Freeman’s 1989 film, Lean On Me. After fighting an illness, Joe Clark passed away at the age of 82 years old. After his death in December 2020, his family released a statement stay that he had passed away in Florida surrounded by his loved ones.
Phil Niekro
Baseball player, Phil Niekro who was nicknamed ‘Knucksie’ earned his spot in the MLB Hall of Fame in 1997. During his career, the baseball pitcher played an impressive 24 seasons in Major League Baseball. Prior to his death in December 2020, Niekro had been battling cancer for some time. It was said that the 81-year-old passed away in his sleep. After his death, the Atlanta Braves published a statement saying they remembered him as “a constant presence over the years, in our clubhouse, our alumni activities, and throughout Braves Country.”
