You might need to know and understand that TV programs may be top-rated and phony or fake at the same time. Many of their contestants on Project Runway, notably Jack Mackenroth and Daniel Esquivel, shared that the judgment portion on the show was not real at all. Specifically, the latter argued that producers tended to modify the reality show to make spectacular contests at the top level.

The cooking program Cake Boss, conducted by Buddy Valastro, was shown in no time to be popular with the crowd. The crew has produced the most complex and magnificent cakes we have ever seen. Things were not as they appeared during a dramatic show. Valastro can only be seen in the shop when they are taping. Besides that, the producers also staged some weddings and festivities to control the show.
