Lynda Kinkade
It was 2002 when Lynda Kinkade began her career as a political researcher for the Seven Network. She was still a sophomore in college at the time! She graduated from the University of Technology in Sydney with a degree in technology and worked hard to receive different roles in television and production positions, until she was eventually scouted by CNN network executives. Nowadays, Kinkade is Atlanta-based, working at CNN’s headquarters. She currently anchors on CNN Newsroom, CNN International, Connect The World, and The World Right Now. You can see that she certainly has her hands full with work, and her success has lead to being one of the most highly regarded anchors around.
Sometimes these anchors get caught in the most compromising of positions, and even though it might be unfortunate for them, often it can be quite entertaining for us! Discover some of the most awkward situations that anchors found themselves in, it won’t disappoint!
Monkey Business
Having a wild animal on television is always risky, they just simply aren’t the best behaved (or have awareness of social etiquette). Even when this news reporter, Sabrina Rodriguez, wasn’t engaging with the monkey on News on Fox 40 , the monkey certainly misbehaved! Rodriguez was reporting on the Lodi Grape Festival when a brazen monkey casually put his paw upon her right breast! We bet she wasn’t expecting that when she turned up for work that day.
‘Put This On’
Interestingly, the outfit of a local weather lady is often the topic of conversation for viewers. This is certainly the case for Liberte Chan, a KTLA meteorologist. She was doing the morning weather as usual when a colleague offered her a sweater live on air! She was told: “We’ve been getting a ton of messages,” he answered. Watchers didn’t believe Chan’s dark dress was fitting for the morning climate. In the wake of putting on the pullover, the meteorologist said she looked like an administrator.”
