Carpenter siblings Karen and Richard were raised in New Haven, Connecticut. As a musician, she got a lot of praise for her drumming skills and three-octave contralto vocal range. It is hard to forget her unique voice and amazing musical skills! While she mostly released music as a musical member, she worked on her own music. Sadly, they were only released in 1996. Paul McCartney of the Beatles once said that she had “the best female voice in the world: melodic, tuneful and distinctive.”
