No one would have ever thought that the self-made woman used to live on the streets as well. At the age of 17, she was a single mother struggling to get by and had no one to turn to. However, things turned around for her when she applied for an internship position at Yale University. Even though she was no longer in poverty, she never once forgot the lonely and long nights she spent without a home.
