Harris thought about the whole situation and ultimately decided that he couldn’t go through with it. It appears that nagging thought at the back of his mind was in fact his conscience. He knew that someone must have accidentally dropped it in the cup. Even more, it was an engagement ring so it must have had significant sentimental value too. So what did Harris do next?

Harris decided he would return the ring and after a few days, he even managed to return the ring to its rightful owner, a woman named Sarah Darling. “I am not trying to say that I am no saint, but I am no devil either,” Harris told. Darling was ecstatic. She was overwhelmed with gratitude and happiness. She knew that it must have been difficult for Harris to return the ring considering his situation. She knew she had to repay Harris for his kindness, but how?
