Queen Elizabeth II’s father, King George VI, became King over 80 years ago, but it should be said that a lot has changed since then. Things would have been a whole lot different had King George VI remained King.

When King George VI became King, Queen Elizabeth was only 10. Her sister Margaret was just 6 years old, meaning Elizabeth would someday take over the throne. At just 25 years old, Elizabeth’s father passed away and she became Queen of England.
