Just a year before Charles was born, Elizabeth and Philip wed. The two Royals are also parents to Prince Andrew, Princess Royal Anne, and Prince Edward. Before Charles went to Trinity College at Cambridge University he attended private school.

Charles made history as the first heir to the throne to receive a college degree. Young Charles also attended the Royal Naval College and the Royal Air Force College. When he was in the Royal Navy, Charles was on a tour of duty from 1971 until 1976.
