When Tim Young, the other firefighter Liz encountered at the diner, found out about their situation, he wanted to offer her a helping hand. On social media, he posted a link to her GoFundMe page and wrote, “Turns out, the young lady who gave us a free meal is the one that could use the help…” At that point, the fundraiser was still a long way away from its goal of $80,000. Tim hoped that he could help them out a little by sharing the GoFundMe link. He did not have any idea about how people would respond!
