Angie Stone has enjoyed an enjoyable career since her debut in the music industry during the ‘70s. She even got to work with the likes of Lenny Kravitz! Now in her fifties, she first went on a weight loss journey in 2006 as a star in VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club. She failed to impress the viewers and the jury as she only shed 20 pounds during her time on the show. After finding out she had Type-2 diabetes ten years later, she began to get medication for the condition. This meant altering her diet plan as well, of course.

This Grammy Award-winning record producer sure looked smaller during his early days as a judge on American Idol. He has admitted that he tried numerous things, some of them incredibly bizarre, to help out with his weight problem. However, it was his 2001 diagnosis of Type-2 diabetes that served as his wake-up call. Randy Jackson then decided it was time for a gastric bypass surgery in 2003. The bassist managed to lose a lot of weight after the procedure, though he regained some of it only months after this. The next thing he did was to formulate a weight loss program of his own together with a dietitian.
