This was a far cry from what it was like on the set of the movie. You might have noticed that there were lots of scenes showing the characters drinking in the movie. Mind you, the actors had not been drinking liquor but root beer. It makes sense since they would have otherwise been drunk by the end of the day.

Have you ever been to the Titanic museum? There was a real artifact over there that inspired an interesting part of the movie. During his visit, James Cameron saw a broken piece of door. This explains why it had been chosen to bring Rose to safety! You probably also scoffed at the thought that Jack could not fit in it.
