Larry Bird: Actor
In the 1978 draft, Larry Bird was the 6th overall pick. The Indiana native started and ended his 13-year career with the Boston Celtics. Upon retirement, Larry starred in a number of big-screen projects. In 1994 he appeared in Blue Chips, and 1996 brought Space Jam and Celtic Pride. He also served as the inspiration for the alien named Larry Bird in The Neighbors.
Clyde Drexler: Real Estate Investor
Clyde Drexler was in the NBA for 15 years before going into retirement. “Clyde the Glide” was a 10-time All-Star and holds a spot on’ The 50 Greatest Players in NBA History’ list. As a rookie, Clyde got involved in investing, particularly real estate, and he hasn’t let up since. Although he has pretty much retired from any work at all, he still manages the Drexler Holdings LLC downtown Houston office.
