When a person is outting up a house on sale, it is normally more advantageous of it is already complete with necessary equipment and furniture so that the new owners do not have to burden themselves about having more things to bring in. as for Joyce, this could cause a sort of apprehension for buyers with regards to this point. It is true that the house stands proud because of its well-kept interiors and a collection of antique pieces that could be traced even back to the 40s, but sad to say, the new homeowner would have to be burdened with carrying his own furniture as the house in 148 Jane Street is unfurnished.

The reason Joyce would prefer not leaving her furniture in her would-be former house is comprehensible. It was lucky enough that there is someone she could pass her furniture on – her daughter. It is possible that it the fact that she could continue taking care of her mother’s things was a relief to Joyce. It makes perfect sense that she chose this set up over another. Majority of the items are antiques which are of good taste and maintained well. To think of it all, she intended to sell the house exclusive of the stuff it contains. And another thing is, we are certain that it is difficult to leave such a wonderful place in exchange for a retirement home.
