For his Oregon home, Bruce Campbell used a Boeing 727-400. It had been in production from 1960 to 1984. The plane had largely been used to service airports with shorter runways. It also happens to be the only Boeing Commercial Airplanes model that came with three engines. With a seating capacity of up to 189 passengers, Delta Air Lines had been the last major carrier in the U.S. to have used it. Nowadays, Iran Aseman Airlines continue to use 3 units for passenger services.

A Bleak Past

Here’s something interesting about the plane: it was once used to deliver the body of a celebrity! The Greek millionaire Aristotle Onassis passed away in France in 1975 and they had to take his body back to Greece. Aboard this steel bird, he had been repatriated and his wife Jackie Kennedy Onassis had ridden aboard.
