Tom Selleck is famous for his magnificent mustache and tall stature, which he used to his advantage as a basketball player in addition to acting. He received a basketball scholarship at the University of Southern California and played for the Trojans. A theatrical teacher suggested he pursue acting while pursuing a degree in Business Administration. As a result, he dropped out of university to pursue acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. With productions such as “Magnum, P.I.,” “Blue Bloods,” and “Three Men and a Baby,” he went on to become one of the most awarded actors.

Mark Harmon – Football

Mark Harmon is the son of football player and broadcaster Tom Harmon. It was no surprise that he also had a successful football career. He earned scholarship offers from prominent college football programs, including UCLA and Oklahoma. Harmon chose UCLA and played quarterback for the Bruins for two years. Mark got the National Football Foundation Award for All-Round Excellence during his senior year. His football career may have ended there, but he achieved more success as an actor. He is most known for his roles on “NCIS,” “St. Elsewhere,” and “The West Wing,” for which he received an Emmy nomination.
