A molecular biologist, Dr. Carol Marcus also had a thing for Kirk. She liked him so much that she had a kid with him called David Marcus. By the end of her relationship, she decided that she wanted to prioritize her work and child over her relationship with Kirk. Bibi Besch was the original actress, although Alice Eve later played the same character in the new version.
