When it came to conceiving, Nicole and Kevin were still unsuccessful, so they decided to find a surrogate instead. They had no idea what the process was like, but they knew being able to trust the surrogate was important. It was a surprise for everyone when Lianna offered to be the surrogate. Surrogacy is definitely an extraordinary experience, and according to Dr. Richard Klein, the obstetrician that carried out the procedure, it was “so much fun” having both couples around during the appointments as it expressed everybody’s desire for the baby. In July 2016, the implantation happened and both pairs were present to find out whether it was successful.
