Not much time
Sarah hesitated, her mind racing to find the right words. Time wasn’t on her side—every pair of eyes in the room was fixed on her, their impatience palpable. She swallowed her nerves and stepped forward. With deliberate, measured strides, she made her way down the aisle toward the couple standing at the altar. When she reached them, she met his gaze and said, “Hello, James.”

Leading her away
James turned to Sarah, his face clouded with sadness. “Sarah, what are you doing here?” he asked softly. The bride, startled by the exchange, looked at him in confusion. “You know her?” she demanded, her expression darkening into a scowl. James let out a weary sigh, gently taking Sarah by the arm. Without a word, he guided her through a small side door, away from the growing tension in the room.
