Thinking fast, Albert slipped behind a tarp, disappearing into the shadows among forgotten relics and hidden treasures. The wolf, however, neither retreated nor hid. Defiant or perhaps bewildered, it stood firm in the open, unyielding as the hunter stormed into the room. A cold, menacing laugh echoed through the air, sending a shiver down Albert’s spine. The hunter hadn’t noticed him yet; his focus was locked entirely on the wolf, rifle poised and ready.

The hunter’s laugh echoed with cruel amusement as he slowly leveled his rifle at the wolf.
