Sydney McLaughlin, renowned for her time at the University of Kentucky before winning the 2019 World Championships with a 400-meter hurdles silver medal, is an American hurdler and sprinter. In 2018, she broke the records of the college and NCAA for the same event. Later that year, she turned professional. Sydney comes from an athletic family, with both mom and dad having a history of competitive running.
