Gary Bongiovanni is the EIC and president of Pollstar. According to him, Celine Dion showed everyone what artists could accomplish in Las Vegas. This was a sentiment that was shared by Kurt Melien, the VP of entertainment at Caesar’s Palace. He expounded, “Celine was a pioneer without question … Twenty years ago, we couldn’t have got someone the stature of Britney Spears to appear in Vegas. Stars like her would never have considered it if Celine hadn’t paved the way. She changed the face of modern Vegas.”
