Although she had her initial reservations regarding “My Heart Will Go On”, her husband Rene managed to convince her to at least make a demo for it. In an interview with Jonathan Ross, she recalled “[Angélil] said, ‘Let’s just do a demo. Let’s give it a try and we’ll see after.’ The demo is actually the real recording. I never sang the song again.” We are glad that she gave it a shot at the very least! When it came out in 1997, it was a big success and earned her several awards. It remains her most popular hit to this day.

Celine herself opened her restaurant Nickels in 1990. It was such a big hit that Celine turned it into a chain of restaurants! We highly recommend going to one if you are ever in Canada.
