Reality TV simply would not be the same if it were not for Gordon Ramsey. However, he has been called out for the way this show operates. Apparently, it made a Manhattan restaurant seem worse than it truly was. He even got sued for it! In the end, however, the plaintiff decided to drop the lawsuit.

The good news is that this show is not as fake as the other ones in the world of cooking shows. Even so, it still pre-plans certain things for a little TV magic. During the first season of the show, one of the celebrity chefs threw a tantrum because the dishes were no longer warm by the time the judges could try them. The cameramen had to hold everyone up as they got close-up shots of the dishes. This means that the contestants had to make two dishes: one for the cameras, and the other for the judges!
