Joan Baez
You might be familiar with Joan Baez. Born in 1941, she made her mark on history as a musician, activist, and singer-songwriter. She made a name for herself in the counterculture era of the ‘60s. Even though her music is mostly categorized as folk music, she also dabbled in country, pop, gospel, and rock. Did you know that she was the first person to record the works of Bob Dylan? She became famous on the global stage over the years. The musician was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2017.
