An Unidentified Caller
The morning after the accident, Rose received a phone call. She responded, despite the fact that call was from an unknown number. A man began to talk from the other side. She didn’t know who it was at first, but it quickly became evident. Vincent, David’s father, had called. He’d heard about the accident and was planning to sue David.

This was clearly not going to work. Rose introduced herself as Vincent’s godmother and explained that Haily had asked her to take after David. Vincent, on the other hand, was not convinced. They argued furiously, and Vincent cautioned her to “watch her back because he was coming for her,” but Rose seemed unfazed. Vincent had never truly been a father figure to David.
