Where Is Mommy?
David was completely unaware of what was going on. His aunt, Rose, had arrived to pick him up and transport him to his grandparents. He was overjoyed because he saw police cars and an ambulance. He couldn’t understand out why everyone around him seemed depressed and kept inquiring about his mother.

Rose appeared to be strong and joyous in the presence of her nephew, but she was in pain on the inside. Her sister, her best friend, had lately died. She knew David wouldn’t get it, so she used him as a distraction. They’d help each other in various ways. Rose expected David to live with his grandparents. But it became evident very soon that this was not going to happen.
