However, one challenge they faced together was a cleanse. Amal struggled to give up wine and coffee, admitting it was tough to let go of evening wine and morning espresso. If you’re familiar with Amal and George Clooney, you wouldn’t be surprised that they don’t value expensive things solely for their high price tags. Amal, having been involved in significant cases and causes, understands the importance of other aspects of life. Money isn’t everything to them, and while they have more resources than most, not everything in their home reflects that. Some of the art they have is more nostalgic than lavish. For instance, there are paintings of George’s dogs and a giraffe, which happens to be Amal’s favorite animal. Amal mentioned some appraisers who visited their home and made condescending remarks about their art collection. One piece features George’s dog Einstein posed as a physics professor. They also have numerous photos of family and friends, including ones with notable figures like President Obama and the Pope.
