Zac looked from the vet to the television and then back to Lola, absolutely at a loss about what to do. “We must help her!” he said, and Dr. Edwards told him that was exactly what he was going to do. “I just need to buy us some more time,” the vet said quietly as he approached Lola. She was growing increasingly agitated, but he gingerly reached out to touch her stomach.

Not long after, two more physicians arrived, saying, “Move!” “Get out of the way!” they exclaimed as they dashed into Lola’s enclosure. Zac watched as they attempted to aid Lola, but she became increasingly enraged, refusing to let anyone touch her and throwing her massive fists around. Zac could only hope that this will go well…But what did they see on the ultrasound? Why did the vet require extra assistance? Will Lola’s baby be okay?
