When 2005 rolled in, she remained in the dark about what happened to Billie. Peggy did not even know if he was alive or not. Word soon spread about her missing husband. A local congressman called Rep. Thornberry made a public announcement about it, but it seemed that he did not know what was going on. In the interview, the politician referred to Billie not as a person but as a troop. He made a few more false statements about the situation before the end of it. You can tell that the team that sent him the information did not do their jobs properly. The congressman ended up making another announcement in which he issued a public apology to the family for spreading fake pieces of information.
