The wrestling world was surprised when WWE superstar Darren Young announced that he was gay on TMZ back in 2013. Additionally, he said that he had been in a committed relationship with Nick Villa for two years already. Talking to Ellen DeGeneres later, he had this to say about why he came out: “I wanted to be able to bring my boyfriend to WWE events.”

Michael Sam And Vito Cammisano
When Michael Sam received the news that NFL’s St. Louis Rams drafted him, he got incredibly emotional (no surprise there; it’s the NFL!). Now, the draft coverage was actually live and everyone saw Sam kiss his boyfriend, Vito Cammisano. Both Sam and Cammisano are University of Missouri alums and they dated for several months prior to the announcement of their engagement back in January 2015. However, in June of 2015, they decided to end their engagement and part ways.
