WILLIAM MOODY – 200 LBS: GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY
William Moody, also known by his aliases Percival ‘Percy’ Pringle III and Paul Bearer, who made a name for himself as a wrestling manager. He first talked about losing nearly 200 lbs after getting a gastric bypass surgery. During that interview in 2003, he talked about how he was finally able to see body parts that he had not seen in a long time. The gastric sleeve surgery had actually been part of the package when he renewed his WWE contract. He ended up weighing less than 300 lbs once more after 20 years.
ETTA JAMES – 200 LBS: WENT UNDER THE KNIFE
Etta James managed to lose nearly 200 lbs after she got a gastric sleeve surgery in 2001. During the twilight years of the amazing singer, she was so overweight that she needed a wheelchair in order to perform during her concerts. When she hit 400 lbs, she knew that she had to do something about it to save her career. She talked to Roseanne Barr and opted to go under the knife. She later said that while the surgery managed to help her lose weight, it also created problems with keeping food level low.
