Sean Flynn
It was not easy for Sean Flynn to break out of the shadow of his famous Hollywood actor dad. He tried his hand at acting too, but he did not see much success. In the end, he was able to make a name for himself with photography. During the Vietnam War, he worked as a photojournalist and sent back photos that only spurred the anti-war sentiment. Sadly, it all came to an end for him on April 6th, 1970. He and a fellow journalist went to take photos at a Viet Cong checkpoint, but no one heard from them ever again after that. Unfortunately, it is not hard to guess what truly happened to the pair.
Michael Rockefeller
Not only did Nelson Rockefeller serve as the governor of New York, but he was also the vice-president of Gerald Ford. However, his son Michael disappeared under strange circumstances. He had been in New Guinea collecting artifacts when he disappeared. They found his boat twelve miles from the shore. There was not much evidence of foul play, so it was officially recorded as a drowning. In 2014, a man called Carl Hoffman released a book called “Savage Harvest: A Tale of Cannibals, Colonialism, and Michael Rockefeller’s Tragic Quest for Primitive Art.” It claims that Rockefeller went deep into the Asmat tribe and even immersed himself in the culture. Mind you, they perform ritualistic cannibalism. Witnesses have come forward and said that they killed and consumed the missing person like the rumors claimed. There is no concrete evidence of this, so the case continues to be “unsolved.”
