Darko Milicic: Apple Grower
Darko Milicic would often refer to himself as the NBA’s all-time biggest draft bust, most likely because, in 2003, he was the second overall draft pick. Milicic pretty much jumped from one team to another in the league before joining the Celtics. He later on retired in 2012. Now, he is living a quiet life, living in Serbia and growing apples on his farm which sits on 123 acres of land. Although he briefly gave kickboxing a try, the violent sports did not really suit him and he had to give it up and live a peaceful lie walking up and down his rows of apple trees.
Oscar Robertson: Advocate For Affordable Housing
Oscar Robertson is an NBA superstar who has had an incredible 14-year run in the NBA. During that time, he had been an NBA all-star 12 times and he became one of the league’s highest-scoring guards. However, what can be considered as his greatest accomplishment is his work in making affordable houses for African-Americans in Indianapolis. The University of Cincinnati honored him for all his outstanding work to improve the community by awarding him an Honorary Doctorate of Human Letters way back in 2007. In his free time, this NBA legend also enjoys woodworking.
