For civilians, fireworks are beautiful and are very exciting to watch. But to a soldier who has had experience being in a real battle zone, those bangs could bring up some very unpleasant memories. Soldiers have had too much real firework experience during their time in active service that watching fireworks may not be a good idea for a romantic date.
