DIAHANN CARROLL, 83 YEARS OLD
Diahann Carroll was the role model of African-American women when she became the first non-white television star. Of course, we are referring to her ground-breaking performance in Julia! The actress was radiant in that role. Aside from that, she even received various nominations and awards over the years. She later battled breast cancer and came out the victor. The actress has since gone into retirement and she was last active in the industry back in 2014. We daresay that her legacy will never be forgotten! Thank you for everything, Diahann.
Sigourney Weaver
Sigourney Weaver got started in Woody Allen’s Annie Hall, but despite her playing only a minor role, the exposure aided her in landing her major role in the Alien franchise, which spanned several movies. She also starred in movies like Ghostbusters, Holes, and Avatar. She also performed on Broadway and was nominated for a Tony.
