A light in his eyes
“We thought you were whale food, man!” exclaimed Clair, one of Ethan’s teammates, as she helped him out of the water and onto the boat. Ethan was still breathing heavily, but his eyes were shining with an unusual energy. “Guys, listen!” He tried to speak again, the excitement evident in his voice. “I’ve just made the discovery of a lifetime!” he revealed, leaving everyone in suspense. What he had seen inside the whale’s mouth was something no one could have anticipated.

Everyone was silent now, eager to hear what Ethan had to say. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart, before starting to tell them, in full detail, what had happened. The team listened intently as the tension in the air grew, each wondering what could have happened in that surreal scene. But the questions still hung in the air: why had the whale swallowed Ethan? What had he seen inside its huge mouth? And, even more mysteriously, what had freed it? The mystery only seemed to be beginning.
