Nancy Kovack as Nona
In the second season of the show, Nancy Kovack played Nona in “A Private Little War.” The character is married to Tyree, who is totally under her control. She was a great dancer who had healing powers. She later healed Kirk with the use of herbs after a Mugato attacked him. Sadly, she went a bit loopy later in the episode after thinking that the villagers would take over. She was eventually killed off.

Kovack has both beauty and brains. She was only 19 years old when she graduated from college! She once worked as a radio DJ and won eight beauty pageant titles. Someone discovered her at a wedding, which led to several TV gigs. Thanks to her acting skills, she was nominated for an Emmy in 1969! Now retired, she is married to maestro Zubin Mehta, with whom she has two kids.
