David Ellis lives in a small neighborhood within a gated community, and the story we’re about to tell you revolves around him. He served 40 years as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department, where he enforced the law and dealt with narcotics and fraud. No one in his neighborhood knows the law better than him. After many years of service, he decided it was time to retire and spend his weekends tending to his garden.

David is known for being a courteous person with good manners, which begs the question: what could have happened to enrage him so much? His property is surrounded by cypress trees (one of which is right behind his fence), which he enjoys trimming on weekends.
