Focusing On David
Rose, on the other hand, chose to let go of everything and focus on herself and David. It was vital for him to achieve closure at this point. It would also be his first and final meeting with his mother. Rose tried her hardest not to cry for David because he was still too young to grasp what was going on. She was curious to see how her nephew would react.
Comforting David
David was upset. He couldn’t figure out why everyone was crying. He looked to Rose for solace, and she returned his grin. Rose and David were the last of the visitors to pass by David’s late mother’s casket. He glanced down at her with compassion in his eyes. “Does Mama sleep?” he questions Rose.
