Zac agreed and dashed to the break room, which was a few minutes distant from the gorillas’ enclosure. On his way, many coworkers came him and inquired, “What is going on with Lola? How is she? “When is the baby coming?” But he simply said they’d find out shortly. He grabbed the water for Dr. Edwards before hastily returning to Lola’s enclosure. Then, something shocking occurred.
Upon His Return…
The door was locked!
He attempted to open the door, but it would not budge. He pushed and tugged a couple more times, but the door was clearly locked. “Hello?! Let me in! “Please!” he yelled, but no one arrived. He imagined the vets had closed the door from the inside to prevent others from entering. He frantically felt his pockets and was happy to see that he had remembered to bring his phone.
