For a brief moment, Lisa appeared to register the resemblance between me and the man in the photo, her eyes narrowing as though she were trying to solve a puzzle. But soon she shook her head and dismissed the thought, likely chalking it up to coincidence, with too many pressing tasks demanding her focus. In doing so, she missed the chance to connect the dots.
