Well believe it or not, the hole isn’t actually meant for your entertainment. The reason behind the lollipop hole is so that when the manufacturer pours the melted candy into the molding, some of it seeps into the hole and hardens to keep the candy from falling off of the stick. Have you ever wondered to yourself, why aren’t the letters on a computer keyboard in alphabetical order? Once again, there’s a reason! The first keyboard ever invented belonged to the typewriter, which operated with metal arms. Originally, keys were arranged in alphabetical order but typing that way became a habit to typists and eventually they ended up typing too fast, causing the key arms to get stuck! The only thing stopping us from going back to alphabetized keyboards is the fact that now everyone knows and loves this one.
