The cry of the unknown
Jack whirled around, looking for the source of the wailing. It was obvious that the scream must be close, but he was unable to identify exactly where the noise was coming from. He was convinced that this screamer was the perpetrator of the attacks on his stable. But suddenly the howling stopped, as abruptly as it had been before. Jack left the pigs there and looked around, but there was nothing to see. He wasn’t sure how to react. He went into his second barn and got his tractor.

Ol’ Reliable – The faithful tractor
The nickname Ol’ Reliable was used by Jack for his tractor. His tractor was big, green and always ready for action. He had been on the road with it for many seasons. Jack’s life on the farm was a never-ending job, although most people might think that spring and fall were the “farming season.” The local residents hardly knew Jack on his tractor. To be honest, there would have been cause for concern if Jack wasn’t driving his tractor. As Jack walked into the barn, he felt a sense of relief as he looked at Ol’ Reliable. At least his tractor was in perfect condition.
